Literary Sisters Spa Weekend in New Orleans

A Moment of Peace.  This time we take a brief weekend break from the busy reality of our lives.  I know you will enjoy our visit to New Orleans, LA.  You will by the music of our people, the food you have heard about for years, and history alive on every corner.  Listen and let the past speak to you in New Orleans.  You will be sharing the experience with women, who just like you , value and deserve, for a just one weekend, a moment of peace. Our Hotel

Immerse yourself in New Orleans history at our luxury hotel on the edge of the French Quarter.  Set within the historic 1908 Beaux Arts Maison Blanche building, The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans retains the grace and charm of an antebellum mansion. Guests of this French Quarter hotel have the advantage of staying near popular area attractions, including Bourbon Street, but can also experience local traditions in our Courtyard, which hosts special events with our Crawfish Concierge, Snowball Sommelier and Oyster Butler.

The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans offers a peaceful retreat with features including live music in the Davenport Lounge and the destination spa, the largest in the city, offering more than 100 treatments.

Saturday, October 17

Pamper yourself with one of the wonderful spa treatments. Then take some time to explore the French Quarter on your own. In the evening, we will have dinner at one of the local restaurants.

Sunday, October 18

A tour of Evergreen Plantation, the most intact plantation complex in the South with 37 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, including 22 original slave cabins. Lunch is included.

Monday, October 19

A day of sightseeing, which will include a post-Katrina tour of the Ninth Ward (photo at right), the Treme neighborhood, Congo Square, the St. Augustine church (with the grave of the unknown slave) and other Black History sights.

Dinner will be at a French Quarter restaurant.

Tuesday, October 20

Breakfast. Checkout.
