Black History Tour
Montgomery to New Orleans
September 14-19, 2020

Day 1
Montgomery, Alabama

We check in to our hotel in Montgomery, AL on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020. In Montgomery we will visit the Rosa Parks Memorial and the National Memorial for Peace and Justice [left], the memorial to commemorate the victims of lynching.

Day 2
Birmingham, Alabama

The next day we travel by bus to Birmingham, AL where we will tour the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute.

Day 3
Amtrak to New Orleans

On Wednesday we take a daytime AMTRAK ride from Birmingham, AL to New Orleans, LA. We check into our French Quarter hotel for four nights before heading home on Sunday.

Days 4-6
New Orleans, Louisiana

In New Orleans we will have a half day City Tour all over the city. On another day we will visit and tour the Whitney Plantation. You will have time to enjoy New Orleans on your own.

Pricing

The cost is $1,899 per person, double occupancy and the single rate is $2,699.

The deposit is $350 each. The balance is due July 20, 2020.

MY PACKAGE INCLUDES:

Seven nights at lovely hotels (Marriott or Hilton), breakfast each morning, some lunches and some dinners, your AMTRAK Coach seat, museum admissions, sightseeing tours and local bus transportation.

NOTE: One of the museums has a limit on group size to 40. I will respect that and so only 40 people can take this trip.
